Study art in its many forms, including Prehistoric, Classical, and Renaissance, with a focus on Impressionist art, and art of the “Old West” by visiting some of the great art collections and exhibits in Los Angeles area museums. The one-credit section studies J. Paul Getty and his famous art center.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University. Courses are designed for student with baccalaureate degrees and appropriate teaching credentials. Course credit may be used for some professional advancement requirements, such as salary movement and recertification credits.
