This course,
conducted entirely by email, is for teachers who have some
watercolor experience and wish to experiment with more advanced watercolor
techniques. The instructor, Caroline Buchanan, a renown watercolorist
and instructor for many years, will take you on a thoughtful, introspective
watercolor journey using wet-on-wet techniques, floating colors, glazing
and “seeing” through words to inspire and motivate...taking
the fear out and putting the energy in to a student’s own unique
work. The lessons and exercises will be ones you will be anxious to
incorporate into your art classroom.

*CREDIT:
Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit
is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements
earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting
requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development
Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at
Loyola Marymount University. Courses are designed for student with baccalaureate
degrees and appropriate teaching credentials. Course credit may be used
for some professional advancement requirements, such as salary movement
and recertification credits. Check with your school district regarding
course eligibility for credit under standard requirements for independent
