The issues of obesity and wellness have been at the top of media stories for a number of years and more and more information is revealed about the health of the general American public and particularly the youth of the Nation. Teaching the food groups is only a small part of the solution. Other things must be included in any nutrition plan for schools. Exercise and nutrition must be part of the solution. This course will explore ways educators can bring information and techniques that will help bring the message home to your students. On the internet you will find research results, exercise programs, lesson plans, ways to involve your students in analyzing their own nutritional awareness and fitness, and techniques to improve overall health.
