Solving the Mystery of Crude Oil

Description

This course takes a look at all aspects of oil, the resource we are so dependent upon, and the predicted exhaustion of our supplies. A DVD covers what crude oil is, how it is formed, and why it is found where it is. It then covers what will happen when the supply begins to run dry. Can we solve the problem politically, or even peacefully? Alternative sources of energy are also examined.

Course Type

These are non-classroom based, self-directed, independent study courses. You will use texts, DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes, or other materials and you will return your assignments by mail. The cost of the materials is included in the tuition and the materials are yours to keep at the conclusion of the course. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for each Traditional Course depending on the course you choose.
