Enhancement Courses Are:

Type of Credit Earned:
Semester hours of post-baccalaureate, non-degree Professional Development credit are offered through Loyola Marymount University. Course work is designed to meet a minimum of 15 hours per credit earned. Students meeting course requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (the equivalent of a letter grade of B or better.) Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University.

Credit is recorded on an Official Transcript issued upon request. Enhancement Courses are designed for educators with at least a bachelors degree and appropriate teaching credentials. They may also be appropriate for other professionals requiring this type of credit which may be used for some professional advancement requirements such as salary movement and recertification credits.

Participants are advised to check with their school district or credit evaluation entity to determine if this type of credit will be approved for their specific needs, as requirements vary and tuition is nonrefundable.

Accountability:
Extensive measures are taken to ensure that all course work is original work by the student. Signed time records and accountability safeguards are incorporated as requirements for successful completion.
