Definition of Credit:
The Enhancement Course program offers semester hours of non-degree post-baccalaureate professional development credit through Loyola Marymount University Extension. These credits are awarded for a minimum of 15 hours of coursework per credit earned. Students are limited to 15 credits per term.Once enrolled, tuition is non-refundable and enrollments are non-transferrable.
Transcripts:
Students meeting course syllabus requirements will earn a grade of CR (the equivalent if a letter grade of B or better.) Students not meeting requirements will earn a grade of NC (no credit.) Credit is recorded on an Offical Transcript and your grade will be recorded in the term your enroll, not the term you complete the course. Official transcripts are issued upon request. Post-baccalaureate professional development credit is not applicable to any degree at Loyola Marymount University.
Eligibility:
Courses offered through the Enhancement Courses Program are specifically designed to meet professional growth and salary advancement requirements of educators who have earned at least a bachelors degree and appropriate teaching credentials. However, other professionals including those involved in social work, law enforcement, private learning situations and others whose salary advancement may rely on the accumulation of professional development credits will equally benefit and are welcome to enroll in Enhancement Program courses. You are urged, however, to check with your district or credit evaluation entity to make sure the courses will benefit you as expected. Once enrolled, tuition is non-refundable and enrollments are non-transferrable.
These courses may be eligible for credit under the "No Child Left Behind" guidelines. You are strongly advised to check with your school district or credit evaluation entity to determine if this type of credit will be approved for your specific needs, as requirements vary and tuition is nonrefundable.
Accountability Standards:
Extensive measures are taken and requirements are met in order to ensure that all course work is original and performed by the student including signed time records, receipts (where applicable) and accountability safeguards.
Special Promotions & Reduced Tuition:
Occasionally, Enhancement Courses will offer a limited time promotion for a reduced tuition. These special offers are for a limited time only and are associated with a specific promotion code. In order to receive the promoted tuition rate, the code MUST be given at time of enrollment, no exceptions, and cannot be applied retroactively. Tuition is non-refundable.
