This course examines the ancient culture of Greece in a way that will enable teachers to relay this knowledge to their students meaningfully. Learned are the nuances of Greek art and what made it the envy of the known world; and intricacies of the democratic society which, ironically, was based upon slavery. Also examined is the Greek's unique relationship with their gods, which is a fascinating belief making it perfectly acceptable to bribe the gods with gold, silver and sacrifices to get what the citizen wanted. A project takes the teacher on a search for Greek architectural examples.
