This course delves into the human side of the Civil War as well as the political side by examining the causes, the suffering, the trials of both sides in battle, and what the private citizens endured. The film "Glory" is included to bring all aspects of the Civil War into focus.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University.
