This course examines life in upstate New York from the early 1800's, looking at the culture, the ways and the mores of frontier living through visits to the Farmer's Museum and Village Crossroads. It also takes a nostalgic look at the birthplace of baseball and its influence in America.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University. Courses are designed for student with baccalaureate degrees and appropriate teaching credentials. Course credit may be used for some professional advancement requirements, such as salary movement and recertification credits.
