| The Matanuska Glacier Alaska - The one-credit (or additional credit) portion of the Alaska History course includes and driving tour of the Mat-Su Valley and the Matanuska Glacier. The glacier is 27 miles long and 4 miles wide. You can actually walk to it and on it. Take waterproof boots since the trail to the glacier requires the crossing of several small water tributaries.
