This course is designed to provide the feel of making the long trek over the Oregon Trail. Teachers will experience the hardships, the exhausting hauls over mountain ranges and river crossings, and those rare moments of joy and exhilaration. Included is a video realistically recreating the experience. No onsite visits required in this course.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University. Courses are designed for student with baccalaureate degrees and appropriate teaching credentials. Course credit may be used for some professional advancement requirements, such as salary movement and recertification credits.
