This exciting and beautiful city is a treasure of Spanish/Moorish architecture. The course includes study visits to the Mission and surrounding Indian ruins, the Sea Center on the pier, and the splendid Courthouse. Texts include Early Days of Santa Barbara. Audiotapes narrated by experts on Santa Barbara history and culture are also included.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University.
