This course concentrates on Old Town, the historic beginnings of California, and the Serra Museum which includes the nation's greatest collection of Serra artifacts and information. Also included is a visit to the delightful restored Victorian Whaley House, home and courtroom of a prominent San Diego judge. An unparalleled look at life in early California.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University. Courses are designed for student with baccalaureate degrees and appropriate teaching credentials. Course credit may be used for some professional advancement requirements, such as salary movement and recertification credits.
