Jazz as American art form is explored in this course, allowing the teacher to develop an appreciation of jazz as a unique form of music, and to bring to the classroom a discussion and demonstration of what is viewed as many as America's classic gift.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University.
