A complete instructional course for the beginning golfer is provided in this course with excellent texts on etiquette and rules, as well as a fine basic video by Barry Wallace who gives a practical and formal presentation of the game. On-course and driving range practice is required.

*CREDIT: Semester hours of non-degree Professional Development Credit is offered through LMU. Students meeting course syllabus requirements earn a grade on their transcript of CR (credit). Students not meeting requirements earn a grade of NC (no credit). Professional Development Credit is not applicable toward any undergraduate or graduate degree at Loyola Marymount University. Courses are designed for student with baccalaureate degrees and appropriate teaching credentials. Course credit may be used for some professional advancement requirements, such as salary movement and recertification credits.
